Thompson's was established in New Zealand over 60 years ago by respected English herbalist M Barrington Thompson. It is dedicated to providing effective healthcare products based on credible science.
He opened NZ's first health shop, and he sourced herbals and biochemicals from England and America which he repackaged under his own name. Early adopters of natural health in the 1950s created a strong following. He eventually bought the building his shop was located in on Karangahape Rd and converted the upstairs to a lecture hall so he could spread his knowledge of natural remedies.
